Sean is a native of Golden, Colorado. He went to college at Regis University in Denver, during which he started down his career path while volunteering in a local shelter’s surgery suite. After graduating Magna Cum Laude, his next step was Kansas State’s College of Veterinary Medicine. During the first summer break from school, Sean shadowed Dr Danyel Wynn for his introduction to the field of canine rehabilitation.
After spending his first post-graduate year pursuing animal welfare advocacy in a public health position in the pacific northwest, Sean transitioned to canine rehabilitation work and directed medical care at a rehabilitation practice. He completed a certificate program for rehabilitation veterinarians through the Integrative Veterinary Medical Institute and has been helping patients improve their comfort and mobility since.
Sean has worked alongside a number of physical therapists, veterinarians, and veterinary technicians in the field of rehabilitation, and has greatly enjoyed the collaborative nature of those relationships. He was thrilled to be recruited onto the amazing Walking Paws Rehab team. A team full of brilliant and caring therapists, including the veterinarian who introduced him to rehabilitation at the beginning of his career.
If you have Sean as your pet’s doctor, rest assured your pet will be cared for by one incredibly smart guy. Sean is always staying up to date on the latest research, has exceptional bed side manners, and gives 110 percent to his patients. He has a knack for being thorough and thinking critically about the challenging injuries we see.
In his free time, Sean enjoys the outdoors. He also likes playing racquet sports, losing to his older brother in golf, and getting beaten in basketball by his younger brother.
He loves the field of small animal rehabilitation and is eager to work with you and your companion in a safe and engaging environment.
