Tia Hagenbucher

Veterinary Assistant

We love having Tia on our team. She always has a warm, friendly greeting to anyone entering our practice. She is an expert at drawing blood and taking radiographs in a safe and stress free manner for your dog or cat. Tia has a focus on making sure the client and patient experience remains positive. She is always going above and beyond to learn more and strives to be of assistance wherever needed.

Tia is a Wisconsin native and attended the University of Wisconsin – Madison where she double majored in English and Environmental Studies. While studying abroad in New Zealand, Tia interned at a zoo and learned the basics about wildlife rehabilitation and conservation. Tia spent a lot of time assisting with their breed for release program for native birds. Feeling very inspired by their efforts, Tia decided to incorporate animal care into her career goals. She took those techniques she learned at the zoo and applies them to her medicine today.

After graduation, Tia interned at a wildlife center where she helped rehabilitate and release native Wisconsin animals. Tia then entered the veterinary field by working as a veterinary assistant at a spay & neuter clinic before moving to Arizona. In Arizona, Tia was trained on the job as a veterinary technician at a general practice that also saw exotic animals. She helped manage the lab operations and performed bird grooming weekly. Tia was then recruited onto our team as a veterinary assistant and made the move to beautiful Colorado.

Tia has always had a love for animals both furry and feathered. She grew up volunteering at her local humane societies and couldn’t wait until she could have a dog of her own. Now Tia enjoys her day trips and adventures in the Colorado mountains with her pup, Blue.
