Dr. Allison brings a great amount of knowledge and passion to her patients. She is known for her commitment and dedication to the rehabilitation and pain management field; continuously learning and making sure her patients are well taken care of.
Dr. Allison Cotter received her bachelors and veterinary degree from the prestigious Colorado State University graduating in the top of her class. While completing her veterinary degree, she obtained her certification in veterinary acupuncture. She then completed a rigorous internship in emergency, internal medicine, and surgery. Following her internship, she enjoyed 6 years working in general practice in San Diego. During this time, she completed her certification in Fear Free handling ensuring that her patients can receive top medical care while remaining stress free.
She has always had a passion for pain management and keeping pets active in order to live long healthy lives. Once discovering all that rehabilitation can offer patients, she excitedly pursued this field through Canine Rehabilitation Institute.
At Walking Paws Rehab she finds it incredibly rewarding seeing patients with difficulty walking learn to run again. She is well known for getting patients to fall asleep in her acupuncture sessions, even when it’s their first appointment.
